Target Audience:

I’m focused on reaching creative directors and digital marketing leaders in major-league sports teams, sports media networks, and sports-adjacent brands such as equipment companies and fan-engagement platforms. These decision-makers look for designers who can solve business and audience-experience problems while also supporting marketing campaigns and maintaining a strong web presence.

I want them to see me as a resourceful problem-solver with a strong foundation in marketing and web design, able to design experiences and materials that excite fans and help organizations grow their brand.

UVP:

I bring together creative problem-solving and multidisciplinary expertise in UX, marketing, and graphic design to craft unique visuals that strengthen brand identity. My experience collaborating with diverse teams helps me translate big ideas into clear, cohesive campaigns and fan-focused experiences that align with both business goals and branding aesthetics.

Challenges

  • High Turnover & Competition: Sports organizations often have high staff turnover and a large pool of eager applicants, making these roles highly competitive.
  • Demanding Workload: Creative roles in sports often require long hours, tight deadlines, and quick turnarounds during active seasons, which can challenge work-life balance.
  • Standing Out in a Crowded Market: Many designers aspire to break into sports, so demonstrating a unique style and value proposition is essential.

Opportunities

  • Relevant Industry Experience: Having already worked with major brands like ESPN, WWE, UFC, and AEW gives me credibility and a head start in understanding the sports media landscape.
  • Professional Connections: Existing relationships with professionals at major teams provide networking advantages and potential entry points.
  • Distinct Visual Edge: My ability to create impactful, brand-aligned graphics sets me apart in a field where fast, high-quality visuals drive engagement.
  • Cross-Disciplinary Skills: My background in UX, marketing, and graphic design positions me to contribute to both fan-facing digital experiences and campaign strategy.

Short-Term Goals (Next 6–12 Months)

  • Refine & Expand Portfolio: Organize existing projects and expand them to showcase their real-world sports applications (e.g., merchandise, digital ads, web mockups, physical advertisements).
  • Finalize Professional Materials: Polish resume and cover letter to highlight relevant experience and brand consistency over my last 3 co-ops.
  • Portfolio Feedback: Aim to get feedback from at least 3 industry professionals to improve presentation and impact.

Long-Term Goals (Next 1–3 Years)

  • Networking & Outreach: Proactively reach out to existing sports industry connections to learn more about hiring needs and opportunities.
  • Career Milestone: Secure a design role in sports (professional league, college athletics, or commercial sports brand) that aligns with both creative and personal goals.

Key Metrics

  • Portfolio reviewed by 3 professionals
  • 5 interviews secured in the first wave of outreach
